Well it has been an eventful (sp.) weekend. I had my tonsils and adenoids removed yesterday. Good times! Thankfully Steve was with me all day by my side. My dad picked up Sierra from school and took her to his house for the afternoon and then my sister took her overnight. Very sore to swallow and kind of dizzy and nauseous, but I'm alive. Living on ice and liquids for the next 10 days.

Oh good gravy! I've heard that's really an ordeal as an adult -- well, don't drool toooo much & I hope you get lots of help while you rest up, Jen!

YIKES! What happened to the old prescription of ice cream after having your tonsils removed?!? Hang in there girl.

Yeah they said no ice cream for several days - has to be thicker. Mashed potatoes are a life saver - thanks for the idea , Monica! Yeah I'm doing my share of drooling too :).

Isn't it wonderful!!!! That was the only saving grace....love those spuds :)

Yuck....don't eat any ice cream. It will stick to your throat and it will hurt to clear it.

Whatever you do....don't eat chicken noodle soup or pizza! Yeeeooooowwwwww....the salt will just about kill you.

Yes, having this done as an adult is a trial and a half. I am so grateful your dear husband was able to be with you and that your fam is taking care of your little angel so you can concentrate on getting better!
